Roulette Bandit In Bookmakers

Roulette is probably the most popular casino game of all, it’s so popular that most bookmakers on the high street have a roulette bandit that anyone can use. In case you’re unsure, a roulette bandit is a machine with a computerized roulette game.

The principals of a roulette bandit in bookmakers are fairly similar to what you expect from online roulette. You’re playing against a software program with animations of a roulette wheel to make it seem real.

I’m very keen on horse racing and therefore I spend a lot of time in bookmakers and every time I’m in their there’s someone sat on the roulette bandit. These machines are like a drug, once you start playing they’re very addictive.

Due to the speed of play on a roulette bandit you can lose a lot of money in a matter of seconds and this then leads to larger bets to chase losses and everything gets out of control. After suffering a loss it’s all to easy to put more money in to the machine to try and get your losses back.

Over the past few years I’ve read several reports from recovering gambling addicts who say that the roulette bandits are the worst thing ever to enter a bookie. I read a report in a national newspaper about a man who gambled away a large five figure sum to a roulette bandit over the course of 6 months which ultimately lead to his financial ruin.

Bookmakers are more than aware of people wasting money on these machines, they even accept credit cards on modern roulette bandits making it even easier to spend money on them. Most people don’t realize (until it’s far too late) that you cannot win on a roulette bandit, they’re programmed to make money for the bookmaker.

Because of the credit card availability, addicted gamblers will just keep putting money into the machine in the hopes of finding the secret bet that will change their fortunes and help them win back the money they’ve lost.

If you intend on playing on a roulette bandit remember to leave your credit card at home and only take what you can afford to lose. All things considered I think you would be better of playing roulette in an online casino or even in a real brick and mortar casino.
