What if I told you that coaches do make such mistakes in Kids Soccer Drills that have the potential to destroy a team and make it a loser. Yes, that’s correct. Many of you must be thinking that how can there be something so big that can destroy a team. Okay then, let it be known that reasons are countless.

You will have to work very watchfully and advantageously in designing soccer drills for kids. You need to understand the psychology of the kids. Exchange words with them discussing things from their point of view. But it’s really sad that a lot of coaches are still untrained to get used to this. They simply close their eyes to the dissimilarity between teaching adult players and kids.

So there you have it; top faults of coaches that bring the teams to a point, from where it’s near impossible to get back on to the winning track.

1. A lot of them consider their jobs as casual work. They don’t arrange the drills, refuse to plan their sessions, and are always late in getting to the field. All these are not only bad traits but put off the kids too. Kids take soccer very seriously and so should you. Plan the youth soccer drills in advance. Put together all kinds of equipments which you would need to accomplish the drills.

Don’t be late. Always reach the field before the kids. Well in fact, grace the filed with your presence when kids reach. It has the advantage of finding some extra time to practice the drills and plan other things.

2. Before the sessions, when the coaches impart instructions for kids soccer drills, they get so lost in it so as to loose track of the time. Have you ever considered how bad that can be? You must realize that players are more interested in playing than hearing. Always speak for less amount of time. These sessions should be used to boost the confidence of the kids as well as motivate them.

It is crucial that you do not interrupt the kids when they are playing. If there is something that you need to tell the kids, wait for the session to end. Also, observe the kids from outside when they are playing.

3. Some coaches tend to get emotional or abusive with the players. In soccer drills for youth, both the behaviors are unacceptable. It is never a good idea to show your emotions on the field. It is Ok if kids make mistakes. Always remember that they are young. You should not take it seriously and get offensive with the players.

In such a situation, you disengage the kids from the game and also create problems for yourself. Soccer is a game of the intelligent. When the kids understand this, they feel inspired.
